Who we are
What do we do?
We collect donations, pack them in boxes with essential items such as non-perishable food, clothing, toiletries, medicines, vitamins and small toys to send to help people in need in Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba and the Philippines.
Our main goal is to make the Word of God available to the whole world and to fulfill the command given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19, to go and make disciples of all nations. This is why the most important items included in the boxes are the New Testaments.

Our history
We had been praying for a place where God would want us to serve. We first joined Gideons International. It is a group of people (men and their wives) who distribute free Bibles around the world, serving together to reach people with the Good News of Jesus through personal witness and the distribution of God's Word in approximately 200 nations.
We then shared an idea of collecting donations and sending them to other countries with three Christian groups we attended Bible classes with. After sharing our hearts and desire to share what God has given us, suddenly our cars were full of donations and a group of friends offered to help us pack them. They opened their home and dedicated all their time to help us make it possible. God showed us the powerful way Christians grow through small groups working for shared goals and common causes.
And so, Un Granito de Alegría was born. We started in November 2022 by sending 5 small boxes and our last shipment in July 2024 was 22 medium and large boxes. Throughout the growth of our foundation, God has made it possible to give us his support through several churches in the state of Florida. Recently, God also gave us the opportunity to join forces with a church in Houston, Texas, from where we have already begun to send our help.
